So I haven’t posted here in a while. Now I’m not one for self-delusion so I don’t imagine that this blog has a large following in any way shape or form, nevertheless I still feel an apology and some justification is needed. For the inexcusable act comes with an excuse: this October I started university.

I know, I know – why should this mean I haven’t updated my blog since September? Because students have so much spare time right? Let’s just say I vastly underestimated the amount of spare time I would have i.e. none.* This meant that in between all the hard work and outrageous fun I didn’t get a whole lot of time to write and update, or to do anything arty for a matter of fact. Our family album club also suffered – we had originally planned to keep it going through Skype calls every fortnight but it quickly became apparent that it just wasn’t going to happen. So whilst I’m hideously behind on my write-ups for that, we also haven’t had a musical discussion since September…and then the Christmas holidays came, and seemed even more hectic than term time. Now I’m on my Easter holidays, and there’s really no excuse anymore.

Anyway there’s time now, because it’s the holidays. All the time I could want (well, six weeks now) to get writing, and for us to reboot album club. Watch this space.

*This is a slight lie; I did know that my course would be a lot of work before I went. What I vastly underestimated was my ability to time manage – essentially I suck and fitting work, social life and sleep into my day (I still gave it a good shot though).
